Our story
Many places.
One sweet thread.
MADE BY FARAHTHE JOURNEY
- 01
Middle East
Where she was born. A family kitchen, a young girl on a stool, learning that every celebration starts with something sweet.
- 02
Southeast Asia
New flavours, new neighbours, the same tray of treats passed around at every gathering.
- 03
Canada
A new home, and a small idea: share what she learned with the people around her.
Farah was born in the Middle East and learned to make sweets as a young girl. In her family, the kitchen was where the day’s news was shared and where every celebration began. She was handed a spoon, then a tray, then the responsibility of making the things people looked forward to. Nobody called it a skill back then. It was simply what you did for the people you love.
Life took her far from that first kitchen. From the Middle East to Southeast Asia, and now to Canada, she packed and unpacked her life more than once. Cities changed. Languages changed. Ingredients had different names on different shelves. What travelled with her, in every move, was the habit of making something sweet for someone else.
Along the way she picked up a little from every place: the generosity of Middle Eastern hospitality, where no guest leaves without a treat in hand, the patience and colour of Southeast Asian sweet-making, and the playful celebrations of her new home in Canada. Parfé is what happens when all of that meets a tray of chocolate and a steady hand.
The name is a small nod to that mix. It sounds like “parfait”, the French word for perfect, spoken the way you might hear it in a Canadian kitchen, and it carries the warmth of the places Farah calls home.
Today, every order is still made the same way it started: by hand, with care, for a specific person and a specific moment. A birthday. An Eid table. A thank-you for a teacher. A box that says “I was thinking of you”.
With love, Farah
